Research

This research aimed to understand the pain points users faced while managing information about the patient while keeping track of their insurance, prescriptions, and treatment plans.

Following are the methods that we applied for our research:

User Interviews

Interviewing almost 10 users provided in-depth insights into individual experiences.

Surveys

It helped to gather quantitative data from a large audience.

Usability tests

It allowed us to observe real-time user interactions with the healthcare management system.

Insights

Our research revealed some of the following pain points that were encountered by the users in the old design:

Pain Points in Dashboard

  • Space Constraints: Users wanted to add more functionality and items to the dashboard, but there was insufficient space to accommodate these additions in a single view.
  • Categorization Issues: Users desired to categorize features and functionalities differently, which was not currently supported by the dashboard.
  • Multiple Change Requests (CRs): Several CRs were documented to add various functionalities to the software, indicating a need for a more flexible and scalable solution.

Pain Points in Patient Portal

  • Outdated Color Scheme: The color scheme is way too off.
  • Inconsistent Design: Improve design consistency for a better user experience.
  • Limited Medical Summary: The design should be revised to make more room for addressing patients’ current problems, medications, and allergies.
  • Sticky Notes Feature: The users felt a need to show sticky notes for care coordinators to highlight crucial patient information and display vital reminders prominently.

Handoff to CLient

The client was quite happy with the team. We are still working with the client for regular maintenance and updates. Gonna share the client’s review below:

We use WellWink for multiple medical centers and doctors for online appointment booking, communication with patients, document management, reputation management, and email marketing. A widget on our client’s website is very useful for their patients to book appointments online. Automated review requests for medical practice and doctors are sent as soon as the patient is checked out. Patient feedback is helping them improve the quality of care. It’s a great integrated feature. We love WellWink.
